The race to develop new cancer therapies just got a boost for Zumutor Biologics, which announced it has secured $7.3M in Series B funding. The capital will support the company's mission to advance novel immuno-oncology therapeutics, particularly its lead asset, ZM008.
Zumutor Biologics focuses on treatments that drive transformational improvements in cancer care through NK cell engagement. Its lead candidate, ZM008, is a first-in-class antibody designed to activate NK cells by blocking inhibitory signals. The company is on track for an IND filing by Q2 2022, with Phase 1 clinical trials to follow. Headquartered in Cambridge, MA, Zumutor also conducts R&D at its ISO certified lab in Bangalore, India.
