Porty Tech, the Turkish startup behind a network of rental power banks, has closed a seed funding round, securing $409K to expand its portable charger sharing service. The company, which operates Turkey's first such offering, aims to ensure continuous mobile device power for users, supporting mobility in an increasingly sharing-economy-driven world.
With over 3,000 business partners, including cafes, hospitals, and universities, Porty Tech has established points across 60 provinces. Its service allows users to easily pick up a power bank with integrated Type-C, Micro USB, and Apple USB-C Lightning cables, and drop it off at any Porty point when finished.
