A new $3.2M seed round is set to boost Alt Carbon's ambitious goal of turning South Asia into a major hub for Carbon Dioxide Removal. The deeptech science and data company, which works with farmers and scientists in the Global South, announced the capital infusion to scale its agri infrastructure for climate action.
Alt Carbon's approach centers on technology pathways like Enhanced Rock Weathering, transforming underutilized land into carbon sinks. Its flagship Darjeeling Revival Project, a first-of-its-kind effort, aims to remove 5 million metric tons of CO₂ by 2030 while also restoring degraded soils and rebuilding ecosystems.
